SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

The simple present tense describes an action which typically goes on every day or all the time. The conjugation of this verb (the regular form) is as follows:

I work we work
you work you (all) work
he works they work
she works
it works

 

Exercises 

Give the correct form of the present tense for the verb in parentheses.

  1. She (eat) dinner late at night. (She eats dinner late at night)
  1. My brother (play) soccer every Saturday morning.
  1. The museum (close) at 5 PM on Sundays.
  1. Cats (love) to chase mice.
  1. The teacher always (give) homework on Fridays.
  1. Water (boil) at 100 degrees Celsius.
  1. It (rain) often in the autumn.
  1. He (speak) three languages fluently.
  1. The store (open) at 9 AM every day.
