Lesson #3 – (Plural Nouns)

PLURAL NOUNS

Most nouns form their plurals by adding s.

 door—doors                      teacher—teachers                          pen—pens

However, nouns ending in s, z, ch, sh and x form their plurals by adding es.

bench—benches             box—boxes                                       class—classes

Some nouns have irregular plurals. These must simply be memorized or looked up when required.
